To reflect Glenmorangie’s celebrated house style and the ultimate resting place of the lost ship, Dr Bill Lumsden, Director of Distilling and Whisky Creation, chose a parcel of single malt aged in ex-bourbon white oak casks, having spent its life slowly maturing in the warehouses on the shores of the Doronch Firth. The resulting single malt, is rich in mahogany, with a harmony of deep, spicy Sherry cask notes, floral topnotes of roast chestnuts and rose petals.
